It should come as no surprise that there are more than a few good fish restaurants in this lakeside town, and this is no exception. Aside from the tourist menu, there is also a traditional menu with a fair selection of classically prepared fish dishes. The avarello alla griglia (grilled lake trout) served with a salad was wonderful but not a dish for the squeamish as it is common practice for the waiter to clean the fish in front of you before serving it. If you can’t decide between pasta and fish, try the spaghetti con le sarde (spaghetti with a sardine sauce). On a sunny afternoon, the restaurant’s best tables are in the small courtyard.
